RADIO AMATEURS OF SKAGIT COUNTY

About our Repeater - N7GDE

    Local Nets             Home

The RADIO AMATEURS OF SKAGIT COUNTY operate a repeater on 145.19 MHz with a - off set and a 127.3 Hz. tone.  The repeater is open to all, and visitors are welcome.  Several Nets utilize the repeater, and we ask that users honor the scheduled net activities.  Most will welcome visitor check-ins at some point in the net operations.

Of course, any emergency communication may interrupt a net or any other use of the repeater.

Since it's beginning, the repeater has had a variety of call signs using the then current trustee's call. In February of 2007, the club was granted the call N7GDE as a memorial station to Austin Fair, one of our founding members who had become a silent key.

The repeater is above the 4000 foot level on Lyman Hill, east of Sedro Woolley.  We enjoy very wide coverage of the Northwest, from Northern Oregon well into Canada.  The transmitter runs ~17 watts (70 watts ERP), and the repeater has stand-by emergency power.  At this time, there are no phone-patch capabilities.
